Expérience fantastique: Sumptuous is an incredible event planner that we would recommend to anyone and may have a second event just to get the chance to collaborate and throw another legendary party. We had a destination crew with people flying in from all over the world and coordinated 4 days of events FLAWLESSLY. As artists/designers ourselves, with a lot of party experience and therefore incredibly high standards for this type of event, my wife and I had a very unique vision for our ceremony and reception at two different venues that had never done weddings before. The creative collaboration with Jean Charles team, his design taste, ability to coordinate, bring endless creative ideas to the table, sense of space and color, relationships with INCREDIBLE vendors and talent was beyond impressive. We could not have been more pleased with how our long weekend ended up. We had dozens of our guests go out of their way to say "that was easily the best party we've ever been to" that was our goal and mission accomplished. Jean Charles colleague Minnie was absolutely integral to the entire project as well and we felt honored to work with her and Jean Charles. Highly recommend. Anyone on here that has said otherwise was clearly mistaken.

Expérience négative: We had to fire Sumptuous days out from our Villa Balbiano wedding because it got to the point for us where we no longer had the confidence they could deliver the luxury wedding they promised and we had to scramble to find someone who could and luckily ultimately did. The major lack of attention to detail, multiple financial calculation errors on their end, unprofessional remarks, & unaccountability for mistakes by the owner Jean-Charles for their very clear mistakes made the experience working with them unenjoyable and so so stressful. We all make mistakes but for him to say we have made no mistakes is super egotistical and not factual. I mentioned from the very very beginning of working with them that the small details of the wedding like custom embroidery were very important to me. They left ALL these custom details I wanted for the last minute (after I had to remind them) because they forgot and then told me it may not get done because we're out of time. How is this a luxury planning experience? I sent clearly to Jean-Charles what I wanted both my female & male welcome bags to say and look like and he ordered BOTH with the incorrect spelling! He then said we may not have time to re order again... I was mortified, it takes seconds to double check spelling especially it being a custom order and he is the business owner! Jean-Charles created inaccurate renderings for us. His rendering up until DAYS before our wedding showed we would all be seated at one single long table for the reception. Come to find out after I spoke with the catering company & villa all our guests CANNOT fit at one table. How could he not have measured this before and clarified with the villa & catering company? Days before our wedding? A complete mess.

Expérience négative: Sumptuous Events will provide you with pretty renderings but they lack the details and expertise in planning a luxury wedding. I had to fire them with less than two weeks to go and plan my wedding myself. If you are going to spend six figures and want a perfect wedding I recommend you explore other planners.

Expérience fantastique: I have so much to say and so much to be thankful for with Jean-Charles and Sumptuous Events. We held a three-day event for a very exclusive group made up of our top clients, executives from major companies with household names. Jean-Charles listens very carefully and was in tune with what we wanted. When he started looking into venue and entertainment options for us, he thought outside of the box and that was very important for me. I chose him because he had a creative essence that drew me in. I didn't want a cookie-cutter event that was cliche and had elements that were overplayed. As we got into the thick of the planning, there were so many moving parts that I don't know how he kept it all on track...but he did it with what seemed like little effort! He handled our budget, client itineraries, hotel, swag/gifts, dining, and entertainment with ease and was on top of it. His multi-tasking skills were on another level! We had a tight schedule to make everything happen in 2 weeks and he went above and beyond to deliver the best plan & design just the way we wanted. It was a pleasure in having Mr. Jean Charles to plan my big birthday event in a lavish hotel in Miami Beach. He is an amazing event planner who is very professional and caring at the same time. Weeks before the event we sat down and I threw out certain ideas of how I wanted my birthday party especially since it was for 30 guests and I wanted everything to be perfect. It is crazy to see how his mind works and be able to piece everything together and create a memorable event where it made the jaws of my guests drop as well as my own to see the splendid decoration and how smooth the flow of the party went and without me worrying about a thing. We spent more than 18 months planning our wedding of dreams in Paris at the Chateau Vaux le Vicomte and not only did we get exactly that the wedding of our dreams but we also gained a now very very dear friend in our fabulous wedding planner, Jean Charles! From the beginning of our planning journey I knew Jean Charles was at the top of his game, in talent and event planning and styling and we were in ver safe hands, what I didn’t know was just how special Jean Charles as a is person that, I believe, really sets him apart from any other event planner. Jean Charles passion for his profession radiates around him and in everything he and his team do, from the speed at which they respond to emails, the time they took to understand our dreams, the advise and guidance on vendors, suppliers, decor and style. We were always given options and although I tried to get his ‘favourite’ option on suggested vendors he was professional to the tee at letting everything be his clients unbiased - choice a real gentleman! The wedding that Jean Charles and his team created for us was out of this world! When we started to organize our wedding in Paris, we had first chosen another wedding planner and that was a real disaster (no reactivity, no understanding, waste of time and above all, waste of money). We felt desperate but fortunately, the luxury hotel where we wanted to organize our reception recommended us Jean Charles. When we met him, we immediately had a good feeling and we decided to work with him. This was the best decision we have ever made! We realized how important it is to trust our wedding planner, especially as we live abroad. And we could fully trust Jean-Charles! He’s very serious and professional, paying attention to every details and knowing so well all aspects of a wedding day! Moreover, Jean-Charles is very empathic and patient. He listens to your concerns and understands very well your emotions as well as your needs. He is also very reactive and very available. So he makes you feel unique! I contacted him on short notice and he went to work immediately coordinating a simply magnificent day in Paris for me to surprise my girlfriend with a proposal. Anhaïde in particular was extremely accessible during the whole process and took care of everything! I would recommend Sumptuous Events to anyone and rather than taking my word for it, I copied the message my fiancé sent to her friends the morning after! “Well today was a freaking whirlwind!! So he told me we were going to take Anniversary pics and so I bought a new jumper and a dress well.... 1st. At 1030am he wouldn’t let me get ready for anything and I didn’t know why... but he hired a professional hair/makeup artist to come to our hotel room and get me ready 2nd. While I was getting ready he had someone hand deliver Paris’ best macaroons to me! An assortment from Ladurée and a bottle of Veuve clicquot champagne 3rd. I walk outside and there is a effing ROLLS ROYCE WAITING FOR US... a FREAKIN ROLLS ROYCE. 4th. We go to our photo spot and take all these great pics then he gets down on one knee and proposed on Pont Alexander III bridge with the freaking Eiffel Tower in the background. And I said HOLY S*** when I saw the rock because it’s HUGE Then we spend the rest of the day driving around in the RR and stopping to take pictures at the Louvre and a Parisian Cafe 5th. We get dropped off at the Shangri-la palace and we sit on a private second story balcony and he’s already got a menu made up for us with out names on it and our own private wait staff. And HONESTLY TODAY HAS BEEN THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE!! “ Thanks so much to Jean and his team at Sumptuous Events!

Expérience fantastique: First and foremost, sumptuous MADE MY WEDDING ABSOLUTELY LUXURIOUS!!!! They are extremely high end, and worth every penny! You can tell they work with celebrities and royaloties because their taste and visualization reflects that! They made my wedding, which was smaller than most of the events they do, so luxurious and boss! Lol sounds silly but they really made it feel like a wedding for a movie star! their attention to detail and my vision were impeccable... SPOT ON!!! We live nearly half way around the world and I’m thankful that they were so helpful and caring, even in times when I felt rather overwhelmed!!! I am deeply grateful and truly blessed to have ever met them and honored to have had them as my wedding planner! Jean, we love you!!!
